In the Netherlands, where can one find fruit, nuts, or vegetables in the wild? The Wild Picking Guide offers valuable assistance. Through the website www.wildplukwijzer.nl and its associated app, users can locate all public fruit trees and bushes, nut trees, and even stray cucumber plants throughout the country.

Features:

• Search by type, such as apples or wild garlic.
• Search by season, displaying only foraging locations currently yielding edible items.
• Search by address for nearby foraging opportunities.
• Access detailed information about each species through the Wild Picking Wiki of Oogsten zonder Zaaien.
• Capture images of foraging spots for easier future reference.
• Mark the location of new foraging spots via GPS.

The Wild Picking Guide is an initiative by Mr. Wateetons and developed in collaboration with the Oogsten zonder Zaaien working group of Slow Food Netherlands.

Version 2.2 Updates:

• Improved clustering of data.
• Data is stored locally; only new and modified foraging spots will be retrieved from the server.
